Awesome hotel in nungwi. First time I visited this hotel was on my honeymoon in 2008. Since then I have stayed at this hotel over 10 times (I live in... read more dar es salaam). Just love how much peace I feel when I get to this hotel.

One of the reason the service at this hotel is so good, is because it’s owner operated. Seleh is an awesome host. Whenever we go fishing and come back with fish, he arranged to cook it for us. Always makes tea for us at sunset or after dinner. Even the one time I was staying at a hotel nearby and brought some friends I made there to show them the nungwi beach, he still made tea for us free of charge.

I visited late April and ate two nights at Baraka, a Restaurent on the beach, last night we decided to eat at langi langi and the food was really good. We regretted not eating all nights at langi langi. I had the prawn curry, my daughter alfredo. And he made complimentary salad which was also really good.

The sea view rooms are really good. The beach is one of the best in zanzibar. Mnemba has awesome Snorkling (you can also hire Snorkling gear and do some decent Snorkling around 200 meters from the hotel). Lots of water sports. We hired jet ski (55,000 per 15 minutes, paddle boat (get plastic not inflatable 25,000 per hour), hired a boat to go bottom fishing). I also recommend hiring scooters from outside the entrance of langi langi and taking them for a spin to kendwa rocks or the zoo (animal sanctuary), or swim with the turtles, nearby.

We didn't like the room that... read more was offered but the manager/owner was kind enough to give us an upgrade. We loved the room and definitely the owner is a chilled out guy who looks like Johnny Depp 🙂

The resort is just at the beach. You can take the stairs and reach the beach during low tide.

Even the food is yum. We loved the pizza we had for lunch and special shout out to the banana pancakes we had for breakfast!

We had a deluxe room, which was a good size with great views. The room had a good shower and plenty... read more of space.

The deck below was great to view the sunset, and very relaxing to have a drink.

Breakfast was ok, could have been a little better, but bit was low season so wasn't so busy.

The pool area was nice and the little dikdiks running around were cute.
